Yesterday, I had the privilege of visiting the forthcoming Education Trust Fund Headquarters in Ghana (GETfund), guided by Architect Victor Panford and Civil Engineer David Ofori. This significant project encompasses the development of three distinct buildings: a Social Center, a Maintenance building, and the Main building, which will house offices and communal spaces. Characterised by a blockwork structure soon to be complemented by trespa cladding panels and aluminum glazed curtain walls, this architectural endeavor promises both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Witnessing the ongoing construction, including the exposed alloy zinc trusses and the intricate network of facilities integrated within the roofing system, provided profound insights into the thoughtful planning and execution essential for creating spaces that seamlessly blend form with function.

This immersive experience shed light on the architectural considerations unique to Ghana's tropical climate, emphasizing the paramount importance of ventilation regulations, effective water drainage systems, and optimised distribution of gas and water within buildings.
